Why We Made Rentything

Sometimes you just need stuff, but you don't need it forever. Yet there wasn't an easy place to borrow that stuff up until now. So we created Rentything, the easiest online rental marketplace to find the stuff you need. If you've got stuff of your own (and let's face it, who doesn't?), then Rentything is also a great place to make a little extra money by lending out that stuff to trustworthy people. With Rentything, it's a breeze. And best of all, you get to choose who you rent your stuff out to, and you can see how trustworthy somebody is using Renything's built in trust system. Oh yeah, did we mention Rentything is free? :)

About Martin

I started thinking about Rentything in the summer of 2012 when I helped my parent's move into their new house. We needed some tools that we would only need to use once or twice, yet there wasn't really a place to borrow those items up here in Canada. So I thought "Hey, I could make that!". The very next day, my friend posted a message on Facebook asking if he knew any place he could borrow a Megaphone for his daughter's birthday party (I assumed it was a big party!). I took that as a sign that it was time to build Rentything, and so I got started. What you see now is a labour of love. I hope you enjoy it. Drop me a note at [email protected] and let me know what you think. Interested in starting or growing your own sharing economy service? I also occasionally do freelance and consulting work, depending on availability.
